A big cheer goes out to two of the top veterans on the Bering Sea. I read an update last night on a Cornelia Marie site that Captain Phil is doing a whole lot better and is taking the medications that the Dr's gave him. Goes to show that these 2 Captains are the best of the best!!!!!!

He is a big boy and will do what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants. A country full of people nagging him to quit smoking isn't going to do a bit a good. It isn't smoking that caused his injuries in January. Being knocked out of your bunk, breaking a rib and puncturing a lung can happen to even non-smokers. So back off. Phil has done a great job raising two sons and holding down a steady job. Two very admirable qualities in a man. If you need to pick on Phil for smoking be sure to pick on all of the other smokers - Johnathon, Sig, Edgar, Matt, Jake, Murray, Josh, Jake, etc.

Phil - love ya the way you are - anyone that can't accept you as you are and tries to change you isn't a friend.

On some bridges of some boats I see these window placements of (what: are they heaters or some kind of antenna)?
On one''s boat, and when he was well up in the Baltic Sea, his bridge windows were icing up badly and where he was having to use a hair dryer to try and de-ice them. If de-icers, that would seem to be quite appropriate and everyone should have them in place!
