May 7 2008, 12:03 PM EDT Northwestern Men yes Sig and Edger are both attractive I agree, Both totally married but one can't stop watching them, cocktail of great looks, strong personalities, strict to the rules (with play & good spirits naturally) watch for 5 minutes and every one is hooked. I got to shoot the Northwestern, but the shipyard where the Time Bandit was docked wasn't cooperative at all :( I did get some nice shots of the Northwestern though. He once took a picture of a yellow rose, inf ull bloom, at night with a small flashlight behind it. SOMEHOW all you can see is a glowing yellow rose with a pitch black background. I tried to convince him to enter it in a contest, but he wouldn't do it. He took the photo about 35 years ago, and to this day, it's my favorite picture in his collection. And the first photo I entered got an award, so I was happy :) It also encouraged me as I feel like I'm going in the right direction :) My photos from the VIP dinner are here, along with a few of the ones I took of the Northwestern. It was hard to shoot it with all the scaffolding and other boats near it. Right now I'm working on a series of photos called "Working Boats of the Pacific Northwest". I've been down at the docks shooting the fishing boats and also managed to get a few really great photos of boats at work. I was on a whale watch boat at the time and we passed a couple of fishing boats, so I got the guys in their gear hauling in the catch :) My other passion is photographing the resident pods of orcas. They are one of the reasons I moved from NYC to Washington :) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I moved to Renton in 1964, but I still go back there for family reunions. A lot of my mothers family still live there. I lived just a short way from Broadway Park and spent a lot of time at Bellingham Bay when I was very small. We moved out when I was 4. Yhat was 44 years ago! My mother used to own a Beauty shop not too far from the college. I am very impressed with your hobby, and a little bit jelouse(did I spell that right?). Good luck in your future in photography. Don't know how to get started, except maybe another contest with 12 choices from each fan. It would make money for the fleet and the store, assuming they would be willing to do it. It sounds like fun, and all of those salty dogs out there, ego's would do the trick. We need your advise and expertise on where to go next. Thanx (<: Do you find this valuable? |
