Keeping you in my prayers
Jun 28 2008, 2:06 AM EDT
The last eposode was rather hard to watch. I just lost my mother inlaw to Lung Cancer, she too coughed up blood and she was just as tough at Phil! I am praying for you Phil, we love you and hope that you heal up. I know how hard it is to quit smoking, and also to listen to others who think they know best. Just take care of yourself, and its ok to allow others to help you, so quit being so stubborn. I understand why you put off getting the help, but sometimes you just need to allow others to help. God bless you and your sons! 50  out of 55 found this valuable. Do you?

My sympathies to you Windylindee. I lost my gramma to Lung Cancer many years ago and it was rough. I am a cancer survivor myself having so far won against breast cancer. I'm trying to quit smoking too and it's hard. Phil is my favorite Captain and I cried at the last episode. Amen to your words about him letting people helping him. Our love and support and prayers go out to him is right. Hope to talk to you more in the future. God Bless you as well. 8  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

Bless you ladies, having suffered the losses yoou have. I was a smoker for 30 yrs, and then I quit one day in January, l999 and haven't had a cig. since. The reason, I just quit cold turkey(besides my own failing health reasons) was they were getting too expensive, and it got my dander up. So, let me tell you, if I could quit, ANYONE can. Good luck and our prayers go out to Phil, no matter how he wants to handle his life. We will still love him. Sajsam 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

We need to pick out the best greenhorn, too since they have one of the toughest & unrewarding jobs on the boat. There have a couple good wons, with similar names( Jake ), maybe. What is your feed-back? Sajsam

Jake Anderson from the Northwestern or Lynn from the Wizard. 2 good ones. Jake Harris needs to be more dedicated. Once he is, he'll be a good one. Josh Harris is an excellent greenhorn.

Praise the Lord that Phil doesnt have cancer, that is what I was totally worried about and that he made it through the blood clot. My dad died from a blood clot to the heart. He had just docked his his boat in Shelton and my mom said he said something and just died, later they said it was a blood clot. So Phil if y;ou read this, you are one lucky dog, and for your son's sake, I am so happy you made it through. Love watching you, stay healthy! 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Of course, I agree with you about Jke Anderson. He sure is dedicated to the Northwestern. I think he would definately get my vote. I"m getting pretty tired because my spelling is headed South. Will say good-night, and chat some more tomorrow, Sajsam

Yes we're so happy that Phil doesn't have the big C. I actually got an update straight from his mouth tonight on Live Chat. He's going to a Cumadin clinic and is taking meds, and can't be too far away from a hospital for a long while. Just thought I'd letcha all know. He's doing better but isn't totally out of the woods yet. Prayers and Love go out to ya Phil.

Bless you, Windylindee; You have suffered losses and know first hand what pain can feel like. Phil truly is in God's hands, and the maker still has more work for him to do. Sajsam 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Thank you sajsam, it has made me a stronger person, but its not easy to loose those you love. I do think that God still has many more things planned for Phil, and I think that through this experience he has already touched many people, and he doesnt even know it.
Thanks
Lindee

I seen Capt. Phil today in Monroe, WA at a local automotive repair shop. He looks and is feeling fine. He stopped at the shop to set an appointment to add more horsepower to his Corvette. He's adding a Paxton supercharger. He also wants "Lambo" style doors which will also be done. His "vette" is "arrest me red" it is totally cool!!! He's a great guy and fun to talk to. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Aren't you the lucky duck to run into Cap't Phil at an auto repair shop of all places. I bet he is a great guy and fun. Glad to know what he likes in his "wheels", too. It's wonderful to know he is feeling fine. Thanks for sharing this with us. Glad to have you aboard here with us, skwalley49. You've made the day for a lot of us. Sajsam
